The roundel of the Air Force of Benin is divided in three sectors, 12 o'clock to 3
o'clock is yellow, 3
to 6 o'clock red and 6o'clock to 12 o'clock green, all fimbriated toward the
edge with yellow (Source: Album des Pavillons, 2000 [pay00]).

Benin uses a 1:1 variant of its national flag (with shorter stripes) as a fin
flash. This fin flash was used between 1962-1975 and again from 1991 onwards.
Between 1975-1991 the then national flag (green with red star) was used as fin flash.

Album des Pavillons issue 2000 [pay00] does not
mention fin flash at all. However, the 2001 correction [pay01]
has a note: "The national flag is painted on the fin."
